HI THERE, I’M SILVIA.
Here to share an insider view of my homeland and inspire you for your upcoming travels to Italy.

Discover Italy like a local.
Behind this blog
Hi, I’m Silvia – proud Italian, foodie and storyteller. Born and bred in Marche region, I’m relentlessy curios and always with a camera in my hands. Italy is the place I call home and I started this blog to share an insider view of my beloved country, and help travellers discover Italy as locals would.
Torno presto in Italian means “I’ll be back soon“.
My mission? Make my readers exclaim “I’ll be back soon!” while leaving Italy, or inspire them to book a flight to the Bel Paese right away. All of my blogging efforts will be paid off if I can make anyone travel to Italy or leave Italy with the desire to come back and discover more.
I use to travel with Lorenzo, my boyfriend since about 5 years. Together, we are collecting memories along our way, and sharing them on these virtual pages through pictures, travel stories and personal perspectives on the places we visit.

Travelling to Italy?
Learn Italian with me.
It’s no secret that most Italians are not English proficient, especially in smaller towns. Talking to locals in their own language could mean having a more authentic experience when travelling to Italy. Besides, how cool would it be to master Italian language? I can help you with that.

Fall in love with Italy
“First of all, let’s get one thing straight. Your Italy and our Italia are not the same thing. Italy is a soft drug peddled in predictable packages, such as hills in the sunset, olive groves, lemon trees, white wine, and raven-haired girls. Italia, on the other hand, is a maze. It’s alluring, but complicated. It’s the kind of place that can have you fuming and then purring in the space of a hundred meters, or in the course of ten minutes. Italy is the only workshop in the world that can turn out both Botticellis and Berlusconis.”
I love this quote from the Italian journalist Beppe Severgnini and I believe it perfectly captures the Italian complexity. Italian food, history, heritage, art and culture, contributed to make Italy one of the top country to visit in the world. Its charme and beauty are undeniable, but they do not always represent the most authentic side of Italy.
Browse through the pages of this blog to uncover the hidden heart and soul of my country.
Open my heart and you will see, engraved inside of it, ‘Italy’.
